Michelle Brownlee is a professional dancer, teacher, award winning choreographer, and accomplished judge. She began her illustrious dance career on the original NBA Dance team of the Vancouver Grizzlies. Michelle is internationally recognized as a singer/dancer having traveled the world aboard Carnival & Crystal Cruise lines in various production shows. She was cast in Saturday Night Fever and Boogie Nights in London England and performed in Tokyo, Las Vegas and Reno NV. These include, Splash, Legends in Concert, Bill Acosta, Laugh & Tango and Tap Girls.
As the lead in Chicago, Michelle's theater experience is also supported by movie appearances. Her credits include, She's the Man, Reefer Madness, the Good-Bye Girl and Catwoman. She has also performed with Britney, Jessica Simpson, Carmen Electra, Backstreet Boys, and Snoop Dog.
Michelle is one of Canada's renowned dance professionals. Having captured Canadian & American titles as a dancer & choreographer, she has also been teaching dancers across North America for 15 years. Certified in Jazz & Tap with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), she also has certifications in CanFit Pro Aerobic and in the process of getting Barre Concept Workout Fitness certification.
In addition to the depth of dance experience, Michelle brings her event management experience to the studio. Having organized and managed performance teams for the Molson Indy, KIA, and General Motors car shows, she has also been involved in the Moulin Rouge Extravaganza and benefit shows for AIDs and Breast Cancer.
Michelle also spearheads Off The Charts Dance workshops throughout the summer and fall which are also part of Thunderstruck Canada's Dance Competitions. Offered across Canada, Thunderstruck Canada's regional competitions culminate with Canada's Top Studio Challenge & Dance Convention, in Mont-Tremblant, QC over Canada Weekend.
